Pearl Jam have postponed their Global Gigaton Listening Experience, which was to debut their new upcoming album via a special audio-visual presentation at over 200 theaters across the world, as a result of increasing concern over the Coronavirus pandemic.

A rescheduled date has yet to be announced. You can see the band's full announcement about the postponement below.

GLOBAL GIGATON LISTENING EXPERIENCE POSTPONED
We are aware several markets have already postponed or cancelled their screenings and we believe more will follow suit in the coming days. As this public health crisis continues to unfold, we have made the unfortunate decision to postpone ALL of the March 25th “Gigaton Theatrical Listening Experience” events until they can be safely rescheduled.

We are working closely with all of our exhibitors around the world to quickly re-schedule these events as soon as possible.

The ticketing for this event was managed by local theaters and they will also be overseeing the ticket refund/transfer process. As each theater will be following their own ticketing systems, we ask you to please consult your point of sale for further information regarding refunds and/or transferring to the new date when scheduled.

Earlier this week, Pearl Jam were among the first musical groups to postpone their North American tour plans as a result of the spread of the global pandemic.

The tour was scheduled to kick off March 18 in Toronto, Canada and conclude April 19 in Oakland, Calif. The band is currently scheduled to launch a month-long tour of Europe on June 23 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Nearly every major artist, as well as the music industry's largest concert promoters, have made similar announcements in recent days.

Gigaton, the band's 11th studio album and first in nearly seven years, is scheduled to be released on March 27.
