[PHOTOS] Michigander at WRRV Sessions May 2023
WRRV Sessions were back in action for the month of May at Newburgh Brewing Company with music from Austin Bonk and headliner Michigander.
With the sparkling Hudson River as a backdrop behind the performers, there couldn't have been a more beautiful day to enjoy great live music and beer. Doors opened at 4pm and local opening act Austin Bonk took the stage at 5pm.
Local Acts Opening for WRRV Sessions
After his set, Austin Bonk stopped by the broadcast table (above) to talk with Jonah about his music, upcoming gigs, and how many "beer cheers" are necessary during a musical performance (at least three, if you're wondering). Connect with Austin on Instagram here. Then it was time for Michigander.

Michigander is a nationally touring act that has played everywhere from Lollapalooza to this year's Austin City Limits festival. The man behind the project, Jason Singer, is even a vocal fan of the Hudson Valley. While he and his wife were married in Michigan, Singer shared that they actually had their honeymoon in Columbia County in Hudson , NY.
Full Band for WRRV Sessions
Michigander brought the whole band to the brewery, and their set was electric (both literally and figuratively). Before long, the entire brewery was singing and clapping along. Singer's humor shone through in his banter with the audience, and can also be seen in the intro to his latest music video for their single, Superglue (below).
WRRV Sessions are free live shows at Newburgh Brewing Company that feature some of the best established and up-and-coming names in alternative music. Check out more photos from the awesome night below.
