BREAKING: a plane has crashed near Hudson Valley regional airport.

A plane has crashed near the border of Poughkeepsie and LaGrange in the Town of Wappinger. The plane crashed in a wooded area. According to Dutchess County Whacker Wire, it's near the New Hackensack Plaza. It is unclear how many people were on the plane.

According to Dutchess County Whacker Wire, the crash was in a wooded area near Village Crest Apartments on Maloney Road. This is also near the Hudson Valley Regional Airport. The people who were on the plane were extricated from the plane. Multiple ambulances were requested on scene. Four shortness of breath injuries we're reported.

Dutchess County Executive, Marcus J. Molinaro, has released the following statement in a press release, “We have been notified of a plane down east of the Hudson Valley Regional Airport with reported four passengers on board. The Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response is on the scene assisting New Hackensack Fire Department. Our office is on scene and monitoring the situation to provide necessary assistance. The Department of Emergency Response will provide updates as soon as they are available.”
