A Hudson Valley man was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly fired at least 5 shots, hitting one person.

Saturday around 1:30 a.m., Ramapo police began an investigation into a shots fired on Andover Road.

A female victim was struck by a bullet in her upper left leg. She was transported to Nyack Hospital where she was admitted and treated for a non-life threatening injury.

A 2010 Honda Civic was also struck by four bullets. The male driver was not hit. Another female who was in the area of shooting was also not injured.

Police say immediately after the shooting the alleged shooter fled in a small black car.

Following an investigation, 22-year-old Junathan S. McNeil, of Spring Valley was located and arrested. He was charged with 2 counts of 2nd-degree attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.

McNeil was arraigned in Ramapo Justice Court and remanded to Rockland County Jail on $500,000 bail.
