Two grenades were found in a refrigerator at a lower Hudson Valley nursing home. 

On Friday, the Clarkstown Police Department received a report of a suspicious device found inside the Tappan Zee Manor Nursing Home in Nyack, NY.

An extensive search was of the building was conducted. Authorities found one training hand grenade and metal hand grenade were found in the refrigerator of a 91-year old resident who was out of the facility for medical treatment.

A cautionary sweep of the residents vehicle was also conducted and no other devices were found at that time.

The Rockland County Sheriff's Bomb Squad removed the two devices and will x-ray them to see if they are live grenades. The devices appear to be World War Two era.

All the residents were returned to their homes once police cleared the building and finished their investigation.
