Two Westchester men were arrested for allegedly bringing a loaded stolen gun to Ulster County.

On Monday, the City of Kingston Police Department reported the arrest of 31-year-old Alexander Kelly of Dobb's Ferry and 37-year-old Asa Gibbons of White Plains.

On Thursday, police were told about an altercation between several people on South Manor Avenue in Kingston.

During the investigation, officers pulled over a car near Cornell Street and Tremper Avenue. Kelly and Gibbons were arrested after a loaded .45 caliber gun, reported stolen from South Carolina, was found, police say.

Both were charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property. Gibbons was also charged with false personation.

Both men were arraigned in Kingston City Court. The Kingston Police Department's Special Investigations Unit, Detective Division and the Ulster County District Attorney's Office assisted in the investigation.
