You can unload your couch or an old camera on Craiglist, but you might want to avoid using it to set up a drug deal.

The Ulster County Sheriff's Office said an 18-year-old New Paltz man tried to do just that. The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) received a tip on Saturday that Nathaniel R. Wagner posted a listing on Craigslist offering to sell marijuana.

And you know that hint of dread you feel about meeting a complete stranger for an internet transaction? Imagine you're an (alleged) 18-year-old drug dealer and your buyer turns out to be an undercover URGENT officer.

Sucks to be you, Nathaniel R. Wagner. The teen was taken into custody after meeting the officer on Main Street in New Paltz for the marijuana deal, according to the sheriff's office press release.

A search of Wagner's home uncovered three ounces of marijuana, scales and packaging materials and over $1,700 in cash, authorities said.

Wagner was charged with a felony count of criminal sale of marijuana and misdemeanor criminal possession of marijuana.
