Police say a Port Jervis woman was arrested after she was found to in possession of a stun gun, metal knuckles, and a large quantity of assorted drugs, including heroin and ecstasy.

New York State Police from Wurtsboro charged 42-year-old Staci D. Dennison, of Port Jervis with 2 counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, felonies, 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, misdemeanors, an a violation for unlawful possession of marijuana.

State Troopers say they stopped Dennison on Route 209 in Wurtsboro for driving with an expired inspection sticker. During the stop, she allegedly admitted to being in possession of a stun gun and set of metal knuckles.

After being placed under arrest, she physically resisted and attempted to hide a number of bundles of heroin, authorities say. Dennison was subdued and taken into custody without further incident.

Police say they found, 110 decks of vehicle on Dennison, quantities of ecstasy, bath salts, marijuana, metal knuckles, and a stun gun in the car.

Dennison was arraigned in the Town of Mamakating Court and remanded to the Sullivan County jail without bail.
