The New York State Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing Hudson woman.

Darlene A. Cowden, 56, of Hudson, New York was reported missing on October 25, 2016. Cowden's mother contacted state police and reported that she had not had any contact with her daughter in approximately one month.

According to a press release, Cowden suffers from a mental illness and may be in need of medical attention.  Cowden is described as a white female with hazel eyes and is approximately 5’6” tall.

Family members don not believe that Cowden has access to a vehicle or a cellular phone. Cowden's last known address was at the St. Charles Hotel in Hudson, New York. Troopers have checked several locations looking for Cowden.

Anyone with information regarding Cowden or her whereabouts is asked to contact the New York State Police by calling (845) 677-7300.
