An Ulster County man is accused using a knife and a beer bottle to stole items from a female.

On Friday around 4:50 p.m., members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office were called to check on a female at a home in the Town of Marbletown. Arriving deputies determined that an incident occurred between 58-year-old William Williams of High Falls and the woman.

An investigation determined that Williams threatened the victim armed with a knife and beer bottle, police say. Williams is accused of stealing an electronic device from the woman and damaging another device that the victim owned.

An arrest warrant was obtained. Shortly after, Williams was found and taken into custody. He was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief, two-counts of second-degree menacing and first-degree harassment, misdemeanors.

Williams was arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center. He was arraigned in the Town of Rochester Justice Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
