Police Issue Important Warning For Village of Liberty Residents
Residents are being asked to assist the Village of Liberty Police with a very important problem.
The world is a pretty scary place these days and sadly crime just seems to be increasing more and more. Generally the Hudson Valley is a decently safe place, but we can't forget that crime can happen anywhere at anytime and nobody is above it.
Social Media is a great tool to help get the word out, especially when something is going in a community and people need to know about it quickly. One Police Department in the Hudson Valley took to their Facebook page and are asking the public for help with a serious issue that has been going on. Maybe you can help with this issue or pass along the information to someone who can help law enforcement out.
What Hudson Valley Police Department recently put out a warning for residents and are asking for help?
The Village of Liberty Police Department (in Sullivan County) recently put up a Facebook post and it mentioned how the department is investigating "a string of larcenies from vehicles" that happened sometime between September 30th and October 1st. It's always very sad and unsettling when you hear something like this...
How can you help out the Village of Liberty Police?
If you live in the Liberty area you will want to take note of this. According to the post, the police are also asking residents to check their vehicles, to take a look at their surveillance cameras and to please contact the police if the residents notice anything out of the ordinary. The end of the post also reminded everyone to lock their doors at night...it's always good to be reminded of that. Some people don't lock anything, but we don't live in that kind of world anymore and you can easily/quickly become a victim of theft.
As of right now there aren't any specific details about where the larcenies took place specifically, but we will keep you posted as more details come out. Also, a big thank you to the Village of Liberty Police Department for keeping everyone safe and keeping the residents informed about what's going on in the community.
Hopefully the people who allegedly committed the crime are caught and everyone in the Village of Liberty can put this behind them.
