A wanted Hudson Valley man is accused of stealing nearly $43,000 from his employer.

State Police at Montgomery recently announced the arrest of Christopher W. Dunn, 32, from Newburgh on a charge of grand larceny, a felony, and two counts of issuing a bad check, a misdemeanor.

In addition, Dunn had outstanding warrants from the Village of Florida Police Department and New York State Police in Fonda on charges of issuing a bad check and grand larceny, police say.

After a lengthy investigation conducted by State Police, it was determined that Dunn inappropriately diverted funds from his employer into his own account and then tried to pay his employer with checks that had insufficient funds, officials say. In total, Dunn is accused of stealing about $43,000 from June through October of 2018.

Dunn was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
