Poughkeepsie Golden Corral Closed

There's still no word on the fate of the Poughkeepsie Golden Corral location.

So what's the deal?

A source first confirmed to WRRV that Poughkeepsie Golden Corral's franchise agreement had been terminated in March and they would remain closed until further notice.

Perhaps the multiple delays in opening were a bad omen for things to come. Initially supposed to open in September of 2016, it was pushed back multiple times before getting down to business in January of this year.

However, just a few weeks later in February, they unexpected closed for several days. When reached for comment, General Manager Sher Jackson explained that the corporate team was in the process of handing over duties to the local staff.

According to their website, Golden Corral has 500 locations spread out across 41 states. I suppose this means they're down to 499 at the moment.
