Those wishing to ring in the New Year in style at the brand new Golden Corral in Poughkeepsie will have to find some other place to be.

The buffet restaurant chain had previously announced that they would be opening for New Year's Eve, but now that won't be happening. The restaurant, in fact, has had several delays in opening. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that Golden Corral was originally scheduled to open in September, but that date was pushed back several times and finally landed on New Year's Eve.

Now, however, a problem with the building's gas line will cause another delay. Building inspectors didn't give passing grades to the restaurant's high-pressure gas line, so now it will have to be ripped out and a low-pressure line will need to be installed.

The owner of the Golden Corral franchise in Poughkeepsie now says the opening is going to be on Jan. 15. We'll believe it when we see it.
