The Poughkeepsie City School District is looking for a certified athletic trainer to join their team!

The position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000–$68,000 and includes responsibilities like injury prevention, emergency management, and rehabilitation services under the guidance of a licensed physician and the District Athletic Director.

Candidates should have a solid grasp of modern sports medicine principles, first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures, along with the ability to evaluate and plan appropriate care for student athletes.

Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as anatomy and medical terminology, is a must. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable using technology for record-keeping and reporting, and should have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and coaches.
