Thunderstruck is an AC/DC tribute band that recently performed at The Chance in Poughkeepsie. I've never seen AC/DC live before but I knew this was a concert I didn't want to miss. I was right in going because Thunderstruck did exactly that, they brought a loud boom of energy with them to Poughkeepsie. I recommend seeing them next time they are in town.

Having a cool band like that perform at The Chance provides local residents the opportunity to play as well. The opening bands were comprised of mostly teenagers which what makes this so awesome.

These kids were covering their favorite bands like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Nirvana. That was just the tip of the ice berg. Their energy was equal to that of Thunderstruck. I watched and listened as the vocals and instrumentation of each song reflected that of what I would expect from the actual bands.

Vocals were on point and the lead singers brought their own energy. It was next level guitar hero stuff. For the record, I am horrible at guitar hero but I'd rather watch a passionate musician put themselves out there and be more than just a gamer.
