I grew up playing board games like Trouble, Sorry, Shoots and Ladders, and SCRABBLE with my grandparents all the time growing up. It would be a staple for all of us cousins. In fact, it was a rite of passage. Those games would get intense. We would use to say "If we could only monetize playing board games." First of all, let's learn a little bit about the folks putting on this event. The mission of Mid-Hudson Love INC is to engage local churches to transform lives and our community In the Name of Christ. Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ is here for anyone in need, regardless of race, religion, age, ability, or background. Love INC primarily serves southwestern Dutchess County, bounded on the south by I-84, on the west by the Hudson River, on the east by the Taconic Parkway, and by the Hyde Park northern boundary.

14th Annual Benefit SCRABBLE Blitz Tournament

The annual SCRABBLE Blitz Tournament is a fast-paced, team style of play with fun bonus point possibilities. Each team consists of two members who work together on their own board to achieve the best possible score in twenty minutes, following all regular SCRABBLE rules.

Registrants for this tournament have the option of ‘competitive’ or ‘just for fun’ play, with a different level of prizes offered for each. Entry is set at $30 per person or $60 per team and includes three rounds of play, beverages, snacks, and one free raffle ticket. Love INC's Fall Auction In Tandem w/ SCRABBLE Blitz

The online Love INC fall auction opens September 21, offering artwork, experiences, décor, and other items. One of the big attractions of the auction is that they are offering a chance to win a one-week stay at the Trapp Family Lodge complex in Stowe, Vermont from May 26th to June 2nd, 2024. The guest house sleeps six. Bidding will close at the SCRABBLE tournament on October 5.

Registration is now open for the 14th Annual Benefit SCRABBLE® Blitz Tournament to be held on Thursday, October 5, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. This unique event, held at the Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church in Lagrange, also includes raffles and an auction. Pre-registration is required by September 28.

The SCRABBLE tournament is a major fundraiser for Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ; proceeds support the collaborative work of local churches in the Love INC network. Love INC mobilizes volunteers to address poverty and build resilience across the local community through the delivery of much-needed resources and the offering of life-skills classes. Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church hosts the tournament at 1168 Route 55 in LaGrange.
