A small section of Rte 9 is closed going and it is causing a traffic nightmare today.

It's been two days after the big rainfall caused by Ida and the Hudson Valley is still dealing with the aftermath.

After a state of emergency was declared and many major roads were closed off early yesterday causing a headache for commuters across several counties in the Hudson Valley.

Travelling today may be a little better but Rte 9 is temporarily closed.

If you plan on taking Rte 9 North at all today you'll need to use an alternate route near Merritt Blvd in Fishkill.
