Calling All College Students: Host Your Own Show on WRRV!
Ever hear a song and immediately send it to three friends? Have strong opinions about an album nobody else seems to know? We should talk.
WRRV’s College Radio Night is giving current college students and recent grads a chance to host their own hour on WRRV.** Pick some songs, get behind the mic, and let the Hudson Valley hear what you’ve been listening to.
Your Music. Your Voice. Your Hour on WRRV.
We want to hear about the band you saw in a room with 20 people. The indie artist you keep telling everyone about. The older track you just discovered that absolutely holds up.
If you’re selected, you’ll help choose some of the music for your hour. We’ll mix your picks with WRRV favorites, and you’ll introduce songs, tell us why you chose them, and bring your own personality to the show.
You don’t need to impress us with the most obscure playlist. We’re looking for people who love music and have something to say about it.
Bring a Friend and Make It Your Show
Got a friend you could talk music with for hours? Bring them along to co-host.
Agree on everything? Great. Still arguing about whether that last album was any good? Even better. There’s room for both of you behind the mic.
Never Been on the Radio? That’s Fine.
**No radio experience is required.** You don’t need a broadcasting major, a campus radio show, or a polished “radio voice.”
Maybe you’re interested in a career in media. Maybe you just think hosting a show would be a pretty great way to spend an hour. Either way, we want to hear from you.
