The famed rapper is known for his weed appreciation, and the new business venture Snoop Dogg is a part of is set to expand in the New York cannabis market.

Ever since Snoop burst onto the rap scene he has been a known aficionado of that green leafy plant. So much so that he is backing a new software company that could be a key player for legal weed as public sales get up and running.

According to Albany Business Review, Snoop is an investor in Surfside which has a software company used "...to help cannabis companies more efficiently and effectively market products to current and future customers." The software basically will get marketing messages to those most likely to use the products to increase sales by using data from other states that also made the shift from medicinal to recreational weed. n fact, the Surfside software is already being used by Veriflie, a medical marijuana dispensary in Albany.

It really should be no shock that Snoop has invested in something he is close to and knows a lot about. When it comes to investing your hard-earned dollars, isn't that the most sensible thing to do? He really does have "his mind on his money and his money on his mind."
