Parts of the Hudson Valley is expected to see snow during the first full day of spring.

According to Hudson Valley Weather, all of the local areas will see cold rain Thursday, with some parts receiving wet snow.

Rain is expected to begin from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m., from south to north. The rain could be wet snow in parts of Sullivan and Ulster counties. Periods of rain will continue throughout the day and be heavier in the evening.

As the air gets colder at night, the heavier rain may mix with snow in parts of Sullivan and Ulster counties and transition to wet snow after midnight.

The rest of the Hudson Valley could see wet snow after midnight if the air is cold enough.

Hudson Valley Weather is currently predicting 2 to 6 inches of snow for the upper parts of Sullivan County, a coating to 3 inches for the lower part and western Ulster County and a slushy coating in spots for the rest of the Hudson Valley.
