A Hopewell Junction man was stabbed in the face after interrupting a burglary at his Augusta Drive home Sunday night.

The 25-year-old man and two women, a 21-year-old resident of the home and a 22-year-old from Hopewell Junction, confronted the burglars and were assaulted, East Fishkill police said. The women suffered head injuries from blows to the head.

Police arrived at the home at 9PM and discovered the burglars had fled. A New York State Police helicopter and K-9 units joined the East Fishkill Police Department and the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office in a search for the suspects.

A deputy from the sheriff's office spotted a car believed to belong to one of the burglars parked in Arthursburg. Shortly after, Gregory Longworth, 24, Marques Lipscomb, 30, and Alexandra Sottile, 22, all of Wappingers Falls, were found and taken into custody.

The three were charged with robbery, burglary, assault and conspiracy, all felonies.

The victims were transported by ambulance to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Bail for Longworth, Lipscomb and Sottile was set at $300,000 cash or $600,000 bond. They were remanded to Dutchess County Jail pending a Dec. 24 court date.
