Steven Spielberg is, effectively, the godfather of modern pop culture. He has directed countless iconic films, produced several more, overseen theme parks, helped found Dreamworks, and more. The one thing he is not is a cheeseburger.

This weekend, Carl's Jr., the burger chain which has locations in Poughkeepsie and Middletown, tweeted that they were changing the name of their Charbroiled Sliders to "SpielBurgers," adding that "Spielberg hasn't signed off yet, but we assume he's cool with it." He was not.

Spielberg responded back with a video sent from the Amblin Entertainment Twitter account, in which he tells the fast food company to "cease and desist." I'm guessing this was all a publicity stunt to promote the release of Spielberg's new movie, Ready Player One, but hey, maybe it isn't. Maybe iconic director Steven Spielberg, the man who gave us JawsJurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Saving Private Ryan, and ET, the man who helped produce Back to the Future, GremlinsPoltergeistThe Goonies, and Animaniacs, a guy with two Best Director Oscars to his name, actually really does have the time to squabble with Carl's Jr. over the internet. Celebrities: they're just like us!
