Stranger Things Season 5 Brings In Big Numbers For Netflix

Season 4  of Stranger Things aired all the way back in May of 2022. Fans have been waiting not-so-patiently for Season 5, but thankfully the time is now.

Season 5 (Volume 1) of Stranger Things premiered on Netflix on November 26th, 2025 and brought in millions of viewers for the shows final season.

Variety reports season 5 "debuted with 59.6 million views in their first five days of streaming." Season 5 of Stranger Things was the most-watched TV title for the week of December 1st through 7th.

Now that Volume 1 has been released, fans are ready for Volume 2, the next 3 episodes, and Volume 3...the series finale. Volume 2 will be released on December 25th with the finale airing on December 31st.

Where To Watch the Stranger Things Series Finale in the Hudson Valley

The series final will give fans the opportunity to watch together during special fan screenings across the US.

The 8th and final episode of Stranger Things, titled The Rightside Up, has a run time of 1 hour and 50 minutes, so basically like a movie.

What better way to enjoy the finale than with other Stranger Things fans at your local movie theater?

st5finale.com has a list of movie theater that will be hosting screenings, including a few in and around the Hudson Valley:

AMC Palisades, West Nyack

These fan screenings will take place on December 31st, 2025, and January 1st, 2026.

Stranger Things Cast Members with Ties to The Hudson Valley

Many of the Stranger Things cast members have ties to New York and the Hudson Valley.

A few of them even got their start on Broadway.

Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers and it having quite the resurgence in Season 5, is born and raise in New York, but went to school in the lower Hudson Valley at , Scarsdale High School.

Caleb McLaughlin, known to the Stranger Things community as Lucas Sinclair, was born in Carmel in Putnam County.

Sadie Sink, who plays Max, was born in Texas but was rumored to have worked in the Hudson Valley when she starred in Taylor Swift's short film All Too Well which filmed around the Brewster area.
