Studio Update From Tool Is Encouraging

We haven't had a new Tool album to rock out to in 9 years. Only recently did we find out that a legal battle the band had been going through was sapping much of their creative energies. But that is behind them and a recent post to the Tool Facebook page points to progress:

Starting the New Year off on a positive note, ADAM arrives at the LOFT with an ending for a new TOOL arrangement and gets the nod of approval by the others. As long as they don’t start with the ending, that’s good news!

The album will be their 5th, and first since 10,000 Days was released in April of 2006. Originally due in 2013, then 2014 it excellent to see any kind of positive news.

Tool performed at the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie back in the day.
