A woman employed at a local supermarket is accused of stealing money from her store on at least 7 occasions.

New York State Police at Somers arrested 22-year-old Baria Kendezi, of South Salem for 7 counts of 3rd-degree burglary, a Class D felony.

On Wednesday, the Town of Lewisboro Police Department and the New York State Police ended their investigation into multiple burglaries at the Greenwich Produce Market on Oakridge Drive in South Salem.

Police say that on six separate dates beginning on May 4, Kendezi, a store employee, unlawfully entered the business after hours and removed money from cash registers.

On Wednesday around 11:00 p.m., a State Police surveillance team allegedly observed Kendezi approach the rear of the Greenwich Produce Market. Shortly after, she was observed leaving the area and detained by investigators.

It was discovered that she had just burglarized the Greenwich Produce Market and was in possession of stolen cash.

More evidence was obtained linking Kendezi to the previous six burglaries, authorities say. Police are not releasing the evidence at this time.

Kendezi was arraigned in the Town of North Salem Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lewisboro Court on May 16.
