Tap NY, New York State's largest beer festival, has been officially canceled for 2020.

The coronavirus is causing closures throughout New York State. On Monday, March 16, 2020, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that all restaurants, bars, and gyms must close indefinitely until 8 p.m. Prior to his announcement, there were already plenty of cancellations and postponements of major events. On Saturday, March 14, 2020, it was announced that Tap NY would be canceled for 2020.

The message on their website reads as follows:

March 14, 2020 - Hunter, NY - Out of an abundance of caution for the health and well-being of our fans, brewers, and staff, and in keeping with the Governor's recent imposed ban on events of more than 500 people, the TAP® NY festival committee was left with no option but to cancel the 2020 Craft Beer & Food Festival.
