The Hudson River Craft Beer Festival is Saturday, September 15, 2018.

Drinking festivals in the Hudson Valley are sadly coming to a close. The last big beer fest, that I can think of at least, is Saturday, September 15 at the Beacon Riverfront Park. The Hudson River Craft Beer Festival is all things craft beer, but if this is your first fest, or you just forget last year's (hey, no judging!) I have a helpful survival guide.

1. Stay hydrated
Yes with beer, but I mean water. H2O, aqua, whatever other names for water there are. Drink LOTS of it.

2. Wear comfortable clothes
As of 6 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018, the weather is supposed to be partly cloudy with a high of 81. But remember, we'll be right on the Hudson River, so there will be a breeze, and you'll be drinking all day. Lots to think about here. I always suggest layers

3. More important than comfortable clothes, wear comfortable shoes
This is really geared towards women, but hey guys wear some dumb stuff too. Don't wear heels, it's a grass park. Guys, don't wear something stupid. Just dress smartly

4. Take pictures
Let's get real, you'll probably forget a lot of the day. Beer, friends, beautiful weather, and good music make for a good party. You'll want to look back

5. Secure a ride home
I don't care if it's an Uber, your grandpa, a pregnant friend, or whatever. Do not drink and drive, ever. Don't go in without a safe way out.

If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, there are a limited amount available for the fest here.
