The state of New York is filled with many amazing pieces of architecture with a rich history. Most notably, bridges are a staple of the area, especially in the Hudson Valley region. Throughout the Hudson Valley, there are many types of bridges that have different purposes, such as carrying traffic, pedestrians, and trains across different locations. Bridges carry both historical and functional significance, connecting towns and communities across the scenic Hudson River. These bridges vary in design, from suspension and cantilever structures, which reflect the evolution of engineering over time.
