The original "The Ring", the American version, came out in 2002. A decade and a half later, "The Rings" is hoping to capture the same horror that hit America with the first movie.

The basic premise is the same. Watch a video; die in a week. However, this time there's a video inside the video and a creepy subculture surrounding the video. All I can think of is that it's like a sub-Reddit, and it's online like the episode of Doctor Who called "Blink".

Except that's Doctor Who and trumps everything forever.

REGARDLESS! The new "Rings" will be in a few theaters on Thursday, and will hit the rest of all the theaters on Friday. The AMC at Crystal Run and AMC at Palisades will both have the movie on Thursdya.
