Maynard James Keenan is a bit of a renaissance man. Not only does he sing for TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, he's a winemaker and author too. Now comes word he'll be making an appearance in the Hudson Valley this fall.

On November 10th, it's an evening with Maynard James Keenan at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in Wappingers Falls. It's a fundraiser for new members and if you've got an extra $325 laying around, you might want to look into this once in a lifetime experience. The event will feature discussions and readings from the forthcoming autobiography, 'A Perfect Union of Contrary Things'.

Alex Grey is a world renowned artist best known for his Sacred Mirrors series in addition to contributing artwork for TOOL. The building that houses the 'Mirror' works was opened in 2008 after initially meeting in Grey's Brooklyn loft and later a location in Chelsea. Some consider Grey's artwork spiritual. After consulting with a shaman he formed as a church when he moved to the area.

CoSM stands for Chapel of Sacred Mirrors. The Sacred Mirrors, a series of artworks by Alex Grey, allow us to see ourselves and each other as reflections of the divine. The mission of CoSM is to build a sacred temple to inspire a global community and leave a legacy of our creative spiritual generation.

CoSM is located on 40 acres in Wappingers Falls and is near the local Metro North stop. Keenan's appearance will serve as a fundraiser for the new chapel that is being designed and built.
