Top 5 Poughkeepsie Concerts
With Fuel in town the other night and Taking Back Sunday in town on Thursday at The Chance, Poughkeepsie is certainly on a roll as far as cool shows go. I thought I'd compile a list of my top 5 favorite concerts in town over the past few years. Let's hear some of yours!

On Monday, January 30th 2012 Rise Against performed at The Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie. The band was on fire that night, sounded great and had an amazing light show to go with it.

On July 19th, 2009 Papa Roach came to town in support of their Metamorphosis album. I remember it being a hot night in potown. The band was nice enough to take some time before the show to meet some WRRV listeners and staff.

On May 6th, 2003 Third Eye Blind played the Chance. They've played there many times over the years but this was their best performance. On a visit to the radio station, Stevan Jenkins hit on my girlfriend at the time but we're still cool.

September 1st 2005, Thirty Seconds to Mars opened up for The Used at the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie. Great show all around and nice to see Jared recently win the Oscar.

Shinedown last played The Chance in March of '09. A memorable night for sure! Let's hope they come back sometime soon.
