A tornado watch and other severe weather warnings have been issued for the Hudson Valley.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Ulster, Rockland and Westchester counties until 7 a.m. Monday. A tornado watch means there's a chance severe thunderstorms could turn into tornadoes.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was also issued for Ulster, Dutchess and Orange counties Monday morning as severe thunderstorms were expected through the morning that could bring damaging winds and heavy rains.

A Flood Advisory was issued for Ulster and Greene counties Monday morning. Meanwhile, a Wind Advisory has been issued for the Hudson Valley from noon Monday until 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected Monday afternoon into Monday night. The National Weather Service warns gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages are possible.
