It's just not a good year for truck drivers travelling through the Hudson Valley.

Local New New York State highways have been the site of several recent large-scale accidents. From the terrifying car vs. 18-wheeler crash earlier this year on Route 17 to the multiple overturned garbage trucks, the thought of an accident in the Hudson Valley feels more like a "when" than an "if". The latest crash is equally head-scratching.

"How did he get there without hitting other bridges?? Was the road paved recently and not measured? There are definitely a lot of questions I need answered!" offered a concerned commenter. "I've physically measured numerous unmarked bridges on state roadways for my own route surveys that have turned out to be lower than 14' and unmarked. NY isn't a state that has a rule like others, where they mark under 14'", alleged another.
