Police Searching for Leads After Strange Rail Trail Theft
So cliche, but when I first stumbled upon this story on social media this morning, I actually said out loud, and this is why we can't have nice things.
It is disheartening to constantly hear about/read about/experience theft and destruction of things that are legitimately only there to make our lives easier - this is another one of those stories.
Bike Repair Station Theft Reported On Local Rail Trail
If you read the headline above and thought to yourself, why would someone take that, or what are they going to do with that, you aren't alone.
On Monday, June 2nd, the Hudson Valley Rail Trail reported on their official Facebook page, that someone had stolen a bike repair station in Ulster County.
Over the weekend someone stole this bike repair station from trail by Commercial ave parking lot One of 3 installed as a part of Boy Scout Troop 70 Eagle project.
Any information please let the Town of Lloyd Police know.

Rail Trail 'Feature' Stolen In Ulster County
Bike repair stations are not an entirely new concept on NY rail trails, but this one in particular was part of a service project by a local Boy Scout Troop, and over the weekend, was stolen from the Commercial Avenue (Highland) area of the rail trail.
The bike repair stations include a stand to lift a bike off the ground for easier repair, and then have assorted tools to address alignment or similar issues, and also have pumps to take care of tires that require air.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Town of Lloyd Police at 845.691.6102, located at 25 Milton Avenue in Highland.
