An upper Hudson Valley teenager has been charged with raping a 12-year-old female.

New York State Police at Catskill arrested Josepha A. Andretta, 19, of Freehold on charges of 1st-degree rape, 1st-degree criminal sex act, both class B felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Andretta allegedly had sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl at a private residence in the Village of Athens in November of 2015. Andretta was 18-years-old at the time of the incident.

Andretta was arraigned at Town of Catskill Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.

State Police were assisted in the case by The Village of Athens Police, The Village of Catskill Police, The Greene County Probation Department and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office.
