The acting village justice in Wappingers Falls faces a felony charge following a domestic incident in Wappinger late last month.

Joseph G. Todaro, 52, of Wappinger was arrested Friday by New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks. Todaro, who remains listed as the active village justice on the Village of Wappingers Falls website, was charged with felony criminal mischief in connection with a domestic dispute on Jan. 31.

Two cars at a home in the Town of Wappinger were damaged during the dispute.

Todaro was arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Justice Court and released on $4,000 cash bail. He will appear in the Town of Wappinger Court on Wednesday.
