Warm and hotter weather for the first part of the week.  Monday, temps will bounce into the 90’s and it will be very sunny in the Hudson Valley.  High pressure will be in control of the weather for most of the week, there will be a southwesterly flow that will help bring in hot temperatures and increase the heat index.  

Tuesday and Wednesday the heat index could be up near 100.  With the high pressure in place, it will remain dry, no rain in sight for the first half of the week.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Monday:  Sunny, hot, high near 90.  Some early morning patchy fog.  Heat index values could go as high as 95.  There will be a slight southwest wind in the afternoon.

Monday night:  Partly cloudy, low around 70.

Tuesday:  Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 94.  Heat index of 102.

Tuesday night:  Mostly clear, low around 73.

Wednesday:  Sunny and hot, with a high near 94.
