We the Kings are set to return with a new song this Friday, Sept. 18.

Taking to Instagram yesterday (Sept. 15), frontman Travis Clark posted a hashtag — "#WTKisBACK" — alongside a clip of a new song titled "These Nights."

We the Kings' official social media accounts have also confirmed the new track.

"Our new song #THESENIGHTS drops on Friday!!!" the band said. "This one is for the nights you won’t ever forget. We can’t wait to share it with you. Pre-save now to be entered to win an exclusive merch bundle."

We the Kings' last album, Six, dropped in 2018. The band released a Christmas album, Season's Greetings From the Sandbar, the same year.

More recently the band released two singles in 2019 — "Turn It Up" and "Where I Belong" — the latter of which was a collaboration with Simple Plan and State Champs.

Initial reports of a return from We the Kings began to circle in early August, when the Floridians shared the music video for "Turn It Up" and said, "While we wait for new music we wanted to upload the music video for "Turn It Up," which was shot on our last tour with Simple Plan & State Champs just before the world shut down! Now, get ready for #TheseNights coming soon!!"

We the Kings' commercial peak came by way of 2013's "Sad Song," which features Elena Coats and was part of the band's album Somewhere, Somehow. Currently, it has over 200,000,000 plays on Spotify which, for reference, is higher than anything by the likes of All Time Low and Good Charlotte.

The band's 2007 song "Check Yes, Juliet," taken from their self-titled debut LP, remains a scene classic, and has been certified platinum, representing sales of over 1,000,000 units.

Away from We the Kings, frontman Travis Clark has worked with Avril Lavigne, and is credited as a composer on a number of Lavigne's tracks, including her 2020 single "We Are Warriors."
