People in the Hudson Valley want to help. The City of Beacon and beyond is welcome at a local wine bar's benefit for the people of Ukraine.

Every news channel is covering the war between Russia and Ukraine. Most Americans and people around the world watched in disbelief as Russian military forces invaded a sovereign county. What many may not know is that the issues between the two nations are not new. The Russo-Ukrainian War is an ongoing conflict since 2014. Despite several agreements, the two countries have not been able to keep the peace. In 2021 Russian forces started to build up around the Ukrainian border.

Since Russia's invasion just two months ago, there is already a large number of displaced Ukrainian citizens. There are just over 4 million refugees that have fled the country.
