A Newburgh, NY woman is reaching out for the public's help to try and find three men who she says could have quite literally saved her life.

The incident that reportedly happened in the parking lot of Adam's Fairacre Farms in Newburgh, NY might be the best local example of the classic saying: not all heroes wear capes. Do you know one of the men who came to her rescue?

"To the men that came to my rescue in Adams parking lot around 12pm today, a HUGE thank you!" began a recent post in a Newburgh community Facebook page. The author went on to explain that if it weren't for the quick reaction of strangers, she may not have survived the ordeal.

I was sitting in my truck taking a quick bite of some food... and I swallowed a piece of meat that got lodged in my throat! I jumped out of my truck and started flailing my arms trying to yell for help. Short story, a grey haired gentleman yelled over [and] asked if I was choking, I nodded. He admitted he’d never done the Heimlich maneuver but got behind me and on the second try, out popped the piece of meat that got lodged.

The story continued as the woman said two men dressed in military uniforms also came over to check on her welfare. "I have regained faith in humanity... Thank you from myself and my family; you helped divert a possibly bad outcome", she shared. Now, she is searching for her heroes.

While Adam's has security cameras observing their parking lot, the woman shared that the incident was blocked by trees. "[If you] are reading this…thank you for your help and for your service to this country", she wrote.
