We have all heard the expression once in a blue moon. But what exactly is a blue moon? A blue moon is the second of two full moons that fall within a single calendar month. It's a beautiful sight, and I'm going to let you in on one of the best ways to view the blue moon in Dutchess County.

You can be part of the Blue Moon Hike at Drayton Grant Park at Burger Hill on Route 9G in Rhinebeck on Saturday, March 31 from 7 pm - 8:30 pm. The blue moon hike will offer spectacular views of the moon and the Hudson Valley landscape.

The Blue Moon Hike is an event that the whole family will enjoy. It's only $5 per person, and children under 12 are free. The hike is also free for Winnakee Members and members of the Open Field Society. Get your tickets at http://www.winnakee.org/blue-full-moon-hike/.
