This New Wreck Room in Poughkeepsie Wants Your Junk
If you've have yet to experience a wreck room, or rage room, well I speak from experience when I say you're certainly missing out. There aren't really words to explain the feeling of getting all of your aggression out by smashing things....legally.
Cue the Limp Bizkit, the video below is most definitely NSFW.

Poughkeepsie Galleria Will Soon Be Home To Wreck Room HV
Come November 1st, the Poughkeepsie Galleria will be home to the Hudson Valley's premiere recreational wrecking space. In the final stages of preparation, Wreck Room HV is preparing for their grand opening on 11/1,offering visitors the opportunity to stop by and do a free bottle smash, and even doing a raffle with a 50 inch TV and free 'smash session' as part of their opening festivities.
The idea of a wreck room is simple, you, the customer, get to break and smash stuff in a safe, controlled, and fun environment...and get all of that pent up stress out in one of the best ways possible...by going completely wild wrecking things (safely, of course).
Beyond the idea of breaking things, Wreck Room HV owner Justin Corson wants to give back to the community that his new business will serve.
I joined the chamber of commerce and am trying to start coordinating with some other members to host charity events. I’ve been speaking with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Community outreach officer to organize a way to help first responders in the Hudson Valley.
Wreck Room HV will also be partnering with several local businesses and organizations, utilizing the space as a community resource and self-care outlet.

Wreck Room HV Wants Your Stuff...To Break
In order for the wreck room to operate the way it needs to, they'll need stuff to wreck. This is a win-win, for everyone. You get to clean out all that random stuff sitting around your basement, attic or closets, and the wreck room has plenty of options for stress-filled people to smash.
Things they can especially use as they prepare to open are as follows:
- old TVs
- computer monitors
- keyboards/mice
- printers
- small electronics and appliances
- kitchen items like dishes, mugs, glasses
- washers/dryers
- toilets and other ceramic items (think sinks, vases, dishes)
- clocks
- old VHS tapes
- flower pots
- cameras
If you think something will be fun to smash and make a crash, they want it!
Follow @wreckroomhv for more updates ahead of their November 1st opening, and let's get ready to BREAK STUFF!
