We Have a Winner! WRRV Gives Away a Backyard Pool

The WRRV Pool Party at Newburgh Brewing Company ended in epic fashion on Friday night... with someone walking away as the new owner of a brand new pool from Pools Plus.

Throughout the month of May, WRRV listeners were given codewords to enter on the WRRV app... hundreds of people entered and a select few "finalists were invited for the grand finale: the WRRV Pool Party at Newburgh Brewing Company. We say a "few" but as you can see, is was a full-fledged PARTY at the brewery.

The night started with a "reverse drawing" style of giveaway, where names of finalists were pulled and "eliminated" from the contest. It wasn't a total elimination, however: one lucky disqualified finalist would be picked at the end to join the final pool drawing. Speaking of which...

The Game

Throughout the night, names were called and people were removed from the drawing, until it was time to pick the last five names... those people wouldn't be eliminated but rather would advance to the final round... "diving" into one of our inflatable pools and picking an envelope that was hidden in ball pit balls. One of those envelopes contained the Golden Bikini, which would declare the holder of that special envelope as the winner of the pool giveaway.

And the Winner Is...

After the first few envelopes were opened without revealing a golden bikini, it came down to the final two contestants: Joy and Christy. They opened up their envelopes at it was revealed that Christy from Walden, NY was our grand prize winner! She even hopped in a pool to celebrate!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the brewery to party with us, and thanks to Pools Plus, who have an awesome new location in New Hampton, NY for hooking Christy up with a brand new pool!
