The Massive Finale to WRRV’s Back to School Supply Drive

Since August, WRRV has been working with Finkelstein and Partners, Walden Savings Bank, T-Mobile of the Hudson Valley, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Hudson Valley to make sure as many kids as possible are fully prepared for the school year ahead.

The outpouring of support was amazing, but the school supplies themselves were just the first step. The finale was stuffing backpacks with every supply a student could possibly need.

WRRV's Back to School Supply Drive Supported the Boys and Girls Club

Thanks to a list provided by the Boys and Girls Club, each backpack was filled with the necessary materials for a successful school year, including binders, folders, paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, hand sanitizer, and more (below).

Thanks to the generosity of the Hudson Valley, 60 backpacks were filled with the necessary supplies, another sign that the Hudson Valley loves to show up for one another in a time of need.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Hudson Valley

The Boys and Girls Clubs across the Hudson Valley are dedicated to offering a safe space for kids to learn, grow, and explore their interests. Thanks to their devotion, that also means that they'll be able to supply fully-stocked backpacks to students who otherwise been unprepared for the year ahead.
