A bridge in the town of Esopus will be closing for construction at the end of 2018.

The Town of Esopus posted on their Facebook page that a bridge in the town will be closing mid-December through February of 2019. The Wurst St. Bridge will be closed from Monday, December 12, 2018, through Friday, February 1, 2019.

The bridge is being closed for steel work repair, according to the Facebook page of the Town of Esopus. The Town of Esopus said the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) confirmed the closure recently.

On the NYSDOT's website, a PDF was found that shows multiple bridge and road closures for 2018 and 2019 across New York State. On the third page, the first entry indicates a closure for a bridge in the Town of Esopus but does not specify much. It says that it is a flood mitigation bridge replacement. According to the PDF this four-year project will cost roughly $32.9 million dollars.
