For a limited time, you're now able to go ice skating at Chadwick Lake Park.

If you're in Orange County and looking for some ways to stay busy this winter, I have great news. According to a Facebook post, outdoor ice skating is set to begin at Chadwick Lake Park in the Town of Newburgh.

According to the post, outdoor ice skating will start on Friday, January 29 at Chadwick Lake Park. Skating will occur on their new temporary ice rink under the large pavilion. You're required to bring your own skates and you must have a park pass to skate. Skating will occur on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a..m. to 3:30 p.m.

The full post on Facebook reads:

"Starting Tomorrow 1/29! We will have ice skating on the new temporary rink under the large pavilion. Bring your own skates and enjoy a socially distant outdoor activity. You must have a park pass and No hockey is permitted. See flyer for schedule. Subject to change due to weather or ice conditions. No skating on lake at this time."

For now, ice skating will only occur on the temporary ice rink and not on the lake. Ice hockey is not permitted. There will also be a limited amount of skaters allowed on the rink at once. It's unclear if they will allow a line to form to wait for a chance to skate or if you have to wear a mask while skating.

Chadwick Lake Park will also have a fire pit going to keep skaters warm. How fun! Get more information on their Facebook.
