It should be no surprise to you by now that I live a double life - alternative music by day and boy bands by night - #truth.  We all remember the superfan encounter in March with Joey McIntyre from NKOTB, right?

I took advantage of that Live Nation $20 ticket deal a few months back and scored tickets for the Mixtape Tour at the Prudential Center, so off we went, my sister and I, to NJ last night to check out New Kids On The Block, Salt-N-Peppa, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson and Naughty By Nature.  The seats weren't ideal, but we were in the building.

Enter full blown '90's attire...and yes, almost everyone was dressed like this!

Now, i've seen NKOTB multiple times and they always put together a killer tour with lots of collaborations and special guests (Bel Biv Devoe, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Paula Abdul, etc.), but this one packed quite a punch with the lineup!  There was a main stage (shaped like a cassette tape) and then a smaller satellite stage at the other end of the area that looked like a CD.  The show opened with NKOTB on the main stage and then all of the other performers alternated between both stages, and the show closed with EVERYONE on stage for a giant collaboration - epic!

Everyone performed all their classics, and surprisingly, after all these years, still sounded great. Though i'm hurting a little today, it was well worth the drive, and the late night, not to mention a total late '80's/'90's throwback.
