A Local Brew for Beer of the Week! (Sponsored)
I’m incredibly excited to bring you this week’s Beer of the Week at Half Time. Not only is it from one of my favorite breweries, it’s from here in Poughkeepsie! If you’re a fan of hops, this one is right up your alley. Sloop Brewing knows how to make hoppy beer. I love everything they do, but when it comes to IPAs, they can’t be beat. I’ll give you half the reason for the name The Red C: it contains three different hop varieties that begin with the letter “C”. The other part of the name you’ll figure out the second you see this beautiful, beautiful beer in a glass in front of you. From the fellas themselves:
Red C pours with a crimson red color and an effervescent white head. The complex malt flavor comes from a variety of finely kilned grains. The American hops provide the beer with hints of lemon, mango and citrus flavors. The clean ale yeast allows your palate to correctly identify all of these complex flavors
This is a beer that has gotten an incredible local following; every time I go to Half Time, I have to call ahead to make sure they’ve got it in stock! So go. Now. Fill up your WRRV growler for half price all week long at Half Time on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie and check out The Red C for yourself!
