Things That Have Come & Gone Since This Vicks Expired

As 2016 became real, I took a moment to go through the closets in both the bathroom and the pantry to clear out items that have expired. I knew that canned goods even flour have "best by" use dates.

But what surprised me was that things like toothpaste and Vicks VapoRub also have expiration dates. Of course, my biggest surprise was that I have a jar of Vicks VapoRub that has some how been in the back of a cupboard and has been overlooked for some time. Wait, A LOT of time. Jan 99. That is when this jar became "not so fresh". What has come and gone since this jar of medicinal wonder expired.

Here are a few things that have come and gone since this expired:

• DVD's and DVD Players
• The price of a US First Class Stamp was 39 cents
• Tivo
• The Blackberry
• Jello Pudding Pops
• Purple Ketchup
• Hi-C Ecto Cooler
• Playstation 2, Playstation 3, XBOX and XBOX 360 have all come and gone since 1999, but this Vicks could still be working.

I am still surprised that this can actually expire. Is there something that you are surprised that it could actually go bad?
